
Brent graduated from Susquehanna Community High School in 2008. He continued his education career at Marywood University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 2012, while also completing his Social Studies Secondary Education Certification. For the 2014-15 school year, Mr. Keyes was hired as a full-time teacher at Wyalusing Valley High School, teaching 10th Grade Modern World History and Advanced Placement World History. After being furloughed from his position in Wyalusing, Brent was hired to teach 11th Grade United States History and 12th Grade Participation in Government in the Sidney Central School District in Sidney, NY. He was brought back to Wyalusing to serve the school district as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director, a role that he served for five years.
In addition to his job duties, Mr. Keyes earned his Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership during this time. In February 2022, Mr. Keyes accepted a new role within the school district as the Elementary Assistant Principal and Director of Extra-Curricular Programs.
The American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief ("ARP ESSER") Fund requires that each LEA that receives ARP ESSER funds must develop and make publicly available on the LEA's website, a plan for the LEA's use of ARP ESSER funds.
