Dr. Jason Bottiglieri was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Reading High School which currently has a population of approximately 18,000 students. As a native of Berks County, Dr. Bottiglieri brings years of experience in rural education having previously served the Oley Valley School District and the Tulpehocken Area School District. Prior to joining the Wyalusing Area School District, Dr. Bottiglieri served as Assistant Executive Director of the Berks County Intermediate Unit. He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree, his Masters and Doctoral degrees are from Widener University located in Chester, PA.
Dr. Bottiglieri is a proud resident of neighboring Forksville, Sullivan County where he has vacationed with his wife Carly and two school age daughters Taylor and Brianna for the last several years. During free time he enjoys spending time navigating through Worlds End State Park, either hiking or swimming and spending as much time as possible with his family.
Dr. Bottiglieri is extremely excited to be part of the fantastic team of the Wyalusing Area School District and is enthusiastic about further developing the school community to showcase many of the positives taking place in our schools. He is most often found in one of the school buildings working with students, teachers, and administrators or in attendance at school and community events.
Mr. Otis graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School in 1988 and from Mansfield University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education (BSE) with certification areas in Biology and General Science. He completed his student teaching and a long term teaching position with the Troy Area School District during the 1993-94 school year. In August of 1994 he was hired to teach Biology at Wyalusing Valley High School and spent several years teaching and coaching football, wrestling and track & field. Also during this time, he continued his education at Mansfield University obtaining a Master’s Degree in Education (MEd) with a concentration in computers. After receiving an MEd from Mansfield University, Mr. Otis attended Marywood University to obtain a Principal Certification. Mr. Otis taught Biology until he was appointed the Assistant Principal during the 2000-2001 school year. He continued as the Assistant Principal until being hired as the Principal in June of 2010. Mr. Otis resides in the Spring Lake area of Terry Township with his wife Dana and three children Dylan, Dawson and Emilee.
Matthew graduated high school in 1997 from Coughlin High School in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District and continued his education career at Virginia Tech where he earned his Bachelor degree of Science in Education for Health and Physical Education. Shortly after graduating from Virginia Tech, he began teaching at PA Child Care in Pittston Township as a Health and Physical Education teacher. A teaching opportunity then opened up in 2006 in the Wyoming Valley West School District where he began teaching Health and Physical Education at Wyoming Valley West High School. Along with his teaching responsibilities in Wyoming Valley West School District, Wincek helped develop curriculum, coached football and basketball. In addition to his employment responsibility, Wincek also earned a Masters Degree of Science in Curriculum and Instruction in 2013 from Bloomsburg University. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife and three children.
