Deneen graduated from Towanda Area High School in 1982.  Following high school, she attended Bloomsburg University receiving her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She was hired by Towanda School District as the 7th grade reading teacher.  Her career as a classroom teacher lasted for 22 years. During this time, she taught Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades instructing a variety of subjects. Deneen had the opportunity to loop with several classes writing her own curriculum for a course titled Integrated Studies.  During her teaching career, she continued her education at Wilkes University receiving her Master’s of Science in Educational Technology.  She then attended California University of Pennsylvania to obtain her Principal certification. Mrs. Lantz was appointed the position of Principal in 2016. Deneen and her husband Paul have 4 children.
