EXPERIENCE:
The 2009-2010 school year is the third year that Mrs. Kilmer has taught in the Wyalusing Area School District. Prior to coming to Wyalusing, she had two years of experience teaching life skills in Tunkhannock. She is currently teaching fifth grade learning support. With a new reading series this year, along with a new set-up and a new 5th grade teacher across the hall, it is going to be a really exciting year!

INTERESTS:
Mrs. Kilmer really enjoys seeing her students succeed in her class, as well as having them be a part of their general education classrooms. She also enjoys learning about her students and what they enjoy outside of the school setting. Outside of school, Mrs. Kilmer enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading, running, and being an active member of her church community. On the weekends in the fall, Mrs. Kilmer spends a lot of time watching football. She is a Penn State and Giants fan!
FAMILY:
Mrs. Kilmer has spent her entire life (except the college years) in Wyalusing, PA. Her mom and dad still live in Wyalusing in the house where she grew up. Mrs. Kilmer was married to Mr. Josh Kilmer in July of 2005. Mrs. Kilmer has twin older brothers, who are both married. She has one niece and two nephews that are a ton of fun to play with! Mrs. Kilmer is also proud of her two brother-in-laws. In September of 2008, our family grew to three, with the birth of a daughter. Mrs. Kilmer has really enjoyed watching her grow and become more and more independent.
OTHER INTERESTING INFORMATION:
While in college Mrs. Kilmer studied for three months in Cheltenham, England. It was a wonderful experience where she learned all kinds of new and different strategies for teaching. During the 2006-2007 school year, Mrs. Kilmer ran two half marathons (13.1 miles each). The first was run in September 2006 in Philadelphia. The second was in March 2007 in Chambersburg, PA. |
